| November 29, 2008 Trivia Game So you think you know everything about Todd Smith and The Smith 52 Racing Team, huh? Well then, Todd and the team challenge you to a trivia game where periodic trivia questions about Todd and the team will be posted on this site! Each question will have a point value determined by the difficultly of the question. Each person that answers the question correctly will receive points for that question and their name and point standings will be listed on this site. The game will stop when Todd's racing season begins and the person with the most points is the winner! So ladies and gentlemen start your engines :o). November 1, 2008 2008 Racing Seasons Points Standings As Thanksgiving approaches, the racing season has officially closed for all tracks and for The Todd Smith Racing Team. Todd's final race of the season was at Dunn Tire Raceway Park on August 24th. Todd hit the turn one wall and destroyed the front end of the car causing Todd and the team to not be able to make the three remaining races that they had scheduled for the season. But even with missing these final races, Todd and The Smith Racing Team managed to finish the Monroe 52 car in the top 10 in regular season points and 15 in overall points on the Race of Champions Tour! Way to go!!! The Smith Racing Team would like to thank all of their sponsors, including Tom Curtin, owner of Monroe Extinguisher Co., Inc. and Alan Davis, owner of Tapecon for their contnuing support of the team. The team and Todd look forward to seeing everyone at the track this spring. June 6,2008 Update Race 1 of the ROC Touring series was held at Oswego Speedway last weekend and Todd had the 52 car in the top 15 for most of race until the last 15 laps when he slammed into the wall and finished 20th. Round two of the tour is in Lehighton, PA tomorrow, Saturday, June 7th. Watch for Todd's results in this race along with next week's two back to back races at Spencer Speedway on Friday night and Wyoming Country Speedway on Saturday. May 24, 2008 Opening Night at Spencer and The Fund Raiser Results The opening night at Spencer Speedway was a week ago Friday and The Smith Racing team was ready to go after a long winter season. As the feature started it seemed winter was still here as the temperatures were in the low 40's, but Todd and the team were ready to start. Todd started the 50-lap feature in 14th position and after numerous pit stops to fix an ill handling car Todd managed to finish in the 6th spot at the end of the night. The sixth annual Smith racing fundraiser resulted in the best turnout ever. Many thanks to everyone who help support the event. Tim Heffernan won the grand prize, an overnight stay at the RIT Inn and Conference Center. Neil Hall won the 2nd place prize of a wine basket and dinner. Also, congrats go out to the winning pit crew of Ed Crawford, Mitch Flagg, Bernie Resch, Jerry Smith and Jim Smith, who proudly won the 2nd annual tire-changing contest. Smith Racing would like to thank Ella Carroll, Bill Clark, Skip Horr, Shelly Livingstone, Cathy and Jim Smith, Kathy and Jerry Smith, and many others, for their donations for giveaways. Special thanks also to Pattie Marshall and Debbie Reynolds for another year of doing such a great job on the food for the event. April 19, 2008 The Smith Racing Annual Fundraiser The Smith Racing annual fundraiser is one week from tomorrow, Sunday, April 27, 2008. It will be at the Henrietta Fire Co. #1 and tickets are $17.00 each. We are looking forward to the annual tire changing competition, where the winning team of five men and/or women will win $100. There will also be great food and prizes, including an overnight stay. Come support Todd and The Smith racing team. Kids are welcome and fun will be had by everyone! April 3, 2008 More Updates The Smith Racing #52 car will be in the Spencer Speedway Mall Show at Greece Ridge Mall on April 24-26. Please come out and see the Monroe Extinguisher and Tapecon Inc. sponsored modified. Another update for the annual kickoff party is we will once again be doing the tire changing competition. The team will consist of 5 men or women and the winner will receive $100. February 28, 2008 Keeping You Informed Todd Smith Racing's faithful sponsors have returned! Tom Curtin, owner of Monroe Extinguisher Co., Inc. and Alan Davis, owner of Tapecon are back as the Smith 52 Racing's primary 2008 sponsors! The entire team thanks Monroe Extinguisher Co., Inc. and Tapecon for their continued support. The 52 crew has been hard at work since the completion of last season. The 52 car has been sandblasted, powder coated, and new sheet metal has been installed inside the car and out. Todd's car also has a new color scheme this year! You can see it at the annual Smith Racing fund raising dinner, which is coming up in April, but until then Todd and his crew ain't talkin! Smith Racing's annual fundraiser will be held at the Henrietta Fire Co. #1 on Sunday, April 27, 2008. The process of seeking donations for door prizes has began and if you have a donation please call Mary Jo Smith at 334-6700. Tickets this year will be $17.00 each.
